The Strength Finder Foundation is an international NGO with a mission to empower vulnerable young women across Africa.
The Foundation’s objectives are to provide support, empowerment, and unleash the potentials of impoverished and vulnerable young women through programs in economic development, entrepreneurship, and vocational education.
The Foundation aims to create a platform to help young people to conquer, and gain exposure for their goals, dreams and take control of their futures.
With the population of young people in Africa in a continuous upward swing, with its accompanying challenges of malnutrition, unemployment, lack of education and resources coupled with the prevalence of diseases, the foundation is set to empower young girls, and women to overcome their insecurities, build confidence, create employment and contribute to the development of their families, communities, and nations.
Founded by Keesha Borden, a US-based beauty and fashion entrepreneur, the vision for the organization was birthed during her trip to Africa, where she interacted with several Internally Displaced Persons (IDP) and university students on economic development and entrepreneurship.
The stories and struggles of the young women she met during the trip struck a chord in her which was reminiscent of her own struggles as a young mom, struck by tragedies and disappointments but-clung to optimism as she focused on moving forward until she achieved her goals.
The outcome of those interactions with the young women left her with compassion which inspired her to found The Strength Finder.
She hopes to use her story to inspire young women in Africa to build resilience against the vicissitudes of life and to empower them to fulfill their God-given destiny.

She Is The Founder And Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Of O’ Her Lashes Beauty & Esthetics Studio, A Firm That Specializes In Lash Extension, And Skincare Services.
A Notable Brand Influencer, She Helps Brands From Different Industries To Reach And Engage Their Target Audiences, Increase Brand Awareness And Ultimately Increase Sales.
As A Licensed Esthetician And licensed Instructor, She Is In High Demand Across The US And Around The World To Educate And Train People On Skin Care, And Other Top Beauty Skills Within Esthetics Services.
By Using Her Own Unique Stories, She Inspires Audiences (Especially Vulnerable People In the Developing World) On How They Can Discover And Maximize Their Innate Abilities For The Betterment Of Their Community.
In 2019, She Delivered An Economic Empowerment Speech At An Economic Development Summit In The City Of Lagos And Abuja, Nigeria. She Also Trained Several Women In The Capital Of Nigeria, Abuja, On How They Can Earn Income With Certain Beauty Skills.

A Graduate Of Business Administration/Marketing From Strayer University, Washington DC. She Also Majored In Psychology At The Virginia Union University.
Keesha Showed Her Mettle In The Mental Health Field As The Regional Director Ofbrothers Keeper Incfrom 2009-2014. In That Role, She Worked With At-Risk Youth Ages 5-18.
As The Regional Director, She Oversaw Four School Districts Where She And Her Team Provided Support To Children Diagnosed With Mental Illnesses; Counseled Clients; Assessed Clients’ Mental Status; Developed Treatment Plans; Monitored Clients’ Progress; Maintained Records Of Clients’ Interactions; And Ensured A Safe Work Environment For Staff And Clients.
Not Only That, In That Role, She Met With The School Board Members To Explain How They Could Better Assist The Students That Displayed Risk Behavior And Gave Presentations On Milestones And Achievements Recorded In The Program.
Shortly After Leaving The Mental Health Field In 2014, She Founded O’ Her Hair Beauty Lounge, A Hair Salon.
Since It Was Founded, She Has Built Several Other Businesses Such As O’ Her Hair Extensions Boutique, And O’ Her Lashes Beauty& Aesthetics. They All Offer An Array Of Services To Its Ever Increasing Clientele Base. The Services Offered Are Retailing Of Hair Extensions, Performing Lash Extension, And Skincare Services.
